GPS PK : Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 vs Redmi Note 2

This is a fruitful year for Xiaomi company. Just 3 months after released the Redmi Note 2, the company brought us the newest generation Redmi Note 3 in 2015. What surprised us a lot is that Redmi Note 3 is Xiaomi’s first full metal smartphone and also the first product to support Fingerprint ID function. And what shocked us is the price tag of Redmi Note 2 still stays very affordable as always.

Although named as Redmi Note 3, it has a lot in common with the Redmi Note 3 on appearance and specifications. Both of them are powered by Helio X10 64-bit Octa-core processor from MTK and sport a 5.5 inch FHD display. And they have a 5.0MP front-facing shooter and a 13MP main camera at the back. But what different is Redmi Note 2 is polycarbonate material and Redmi Note 3 uses full metal; Redmi Note 3 also has a 3GB RAM version, while Redmi Note 2 is only 2GB; Redmi Note 3 packs a 4000mAh battery, Redmi Note 2’s is 3060mAh and Redmi Note 3 features a Fingerprint Scanner, while Redmi Note 2 doesn’t.

To users, what bothers them most is the software inside the phone draining the battery very quickly. For instance, GPS. GPS usually eats very much battery power of the phone and the issue was already explained by a Google engineer before. We’ve made a comparsion on the features of Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 2 above. Now, we will made a battery drain test on their GPS through a video to see whose battery drains faster.
The test are made when Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 2 are with 100% power. That’s how we processed the test. Switch on both phone’s GPS and set the same route, drive follow the route and instructions on the GPS. Keep driving for an hour with GPS navigation. After an hour, we checked the power. Redmi Note 3’s battery is dropped to 74% and Redmi Note 2’s battery is dropped to 65%.

So, it result is plain and clear, Redmi Note 3 has a better battery life. Through this comparison test, which phone do you like more?
