Xiaomi Mi Note 2 specifications leaked: maybe Snapdragon 823-powered
So far, Xaiomi has updated all its product lines, including the Xiaomi Mi 5, Redmi 3 and Redmi Note 3; except for the Mi Note series. Although the Xiaomi Mi Note last year didn’t have a great sales performance, Xiaomi still seems to plan to release its successor-Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Now, information leaked on line that Xiaomi Mi Note 2 may start at 299 Yuan($642.4) and offer Snapdragon 820/823.
According to the leaked information, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is to offer 4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB ROM internal storage. The phone will take 5.7 inch 2K display, have unibody metal body and 3600mAh battery. The Mi Note 2 is also to pack Sony IMX298 camera with OIS function(maybe 16MP). What’s more, it may also provide a 258GB ROM version, supporting 3D Touch function. But these 2 specs are still in evaluation, not decided yet.
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is said to be powered by Snapdragon 820/823 processor, it is probably like this: the standard version goes with Snapdragon 820 and pro version takes Snapdragon 823. Snapdragon 823 is the upgraded version of 820, it is said Samsung Note 6 would also use this processor. So whether Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is able to use Snapdragon 823 not only depends on Qualcomm’s production capability.
Source revealed before Xiaomi Mi Note 2 would probably release around July, using dual camera and front Fingerprint ID function. The source also emphasized Xiaomi does have such a product this year, but the naming is not settled. If Xiaomi 5 is selling well, the one debuts in July could also be named as Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus. And the real Xiaomi Mi Note 5 may have to wait at least till September.
So this seems to be another fancy smartphone, whether named Mi 5 Plus or Mi Note 2. We will see more details coming in the near future.
