Redmi Note 3 vs Meizu M3 Note

Battery life is an important aspect for a phone today, because with so many Apps installed and the above 5
inch screen, the battery is the power house to keep all these running. Most smartphones need to be charged per day to ensure enough power.

Redmi Note 3 vs Meizu M3 Note

Both of the phones are priced less than 1000 Yuan($154), but they have a more than 4000mAh battery. Meizu M3 Note packs a 4100mAh battery and Redmi Note 3’s battery capacity is 4050mAh.

The test takes 1 hour and 10 mins. When the test is implementing for 50 mins, both phones are basically
stable, especially the temperature. Although Meizu M3 Note’s processor is less better, its temperature is
quite stable at around 35 degree. While Redmi Note 3 us around 38 degree. Helio P10 is very excellent on

Video Test

We chose a 720P video to play on Redmi Note 3 and Meizu M3 Note. 720P video is very clear to play on the
phone, so it is very power-consuming.

7

As the pictures show above, after 15 mins’ playing, Meizu M3 Note still has 100% battery, but Redmi Note 3 consumes 4%. After playing for 36 mins, Meizu M3 Note’s battery remains 98% and Redmi Note 3 has 92% left. After 1 hour and 15 mins, Meizu M3 Note has 90% battery, Redmi Note 3 has 85% remaining. Although Meizu M3 Note looks better seemingly, as time increases, its battery drains more and more. This may have something to do with Flyme’s data and algorithm.

To make the test more accurate, we continue to play the video for around 6 hours. After that, Meizu M3
Note has 54% left and Redmi Note 3 remains 51%. The final result are very close. On the whole, their
performance is basically equal during the video test.
